◊ Abilities:
Nerau's abilities are hardly good to use in a fair battle but rather good to get away from persuers and hide.
◊ Manifest: Nerau can shape shadows into objects or even a copy of himself, however, the more shadow-mass is used, the more energy is drained for using this technique. Usually he creates small throwing knifes. Every object created this way will vanish after a certain time or when its core (a weakly red-glowing orb located in the shape's center) is destroyed. Nerau can not have more than six active cores at once.
-Instant: Nerau can create solid black matter from shadows quickly without the need of a core but in this case the matter dissolves after one or two seconds after leaving close proximity to his body.
-Reforge: Nerau can reform a shape created from his dark matter and a core as long as he touches it.
-Seventh Eye: A special core is created that is connected to Nerau's vision and acts as another eye. The 7th eye has the same properties as normal cores, thus can shape weapons and objects from shadows, however, it takes more energy to create and causes headache to the user on destruction if it does not fade because its energy expired.
◊ Dark Port: Nerau can travel a few meters by jumping into a shodow and out of another. He however has to see his aimed extrance.
-Infinite: In a pitchblack space Nerau can basically teleport since the airspace itself is pure shadow. Weak moonlight alone would be able to disable this skill.
◊ Ghost: He is able to turn parts of his body and other objects into shadows to let physical attacks go right through. This however provides no defense against fire or lightning magic.
◊ Toxin: Not so much an ability but a trait of his body is the tip of his tail which is rather sharp and pointy. It also provides a poison that cannot kill but induces a numbing pain where it inflicts a wound. Depending on how deep it cut, it takes between 5 minutes and 2 minutes for the victim's body to neutralize the toxin. No permanent damage is dealt.

◊ True Form:
The Arukannu in its real form is basically a spherical mass of dark matter, born from shadows, with six eyes and a black halo. In this form physical attacks may go right through without causing damage while every shadow in vincity may be used as a weapon, including the own body. This makes the dark elemental quite a threat during night. However, in this form an Arukannu is a lot more vulnerable to the other magics fire, lightning and light magic. Depending on how much darkness the Arukannu amasses, its size can vary greatly. If it only collects a minimum of matter, it is not bigger than a tennis ball and is able to keep this form without limitation of stamina due its low energy consumption while it is not able to defend itself because of its low amount of shadows. The Arukannu cannot produce any kind of sound except for a painful shriek (or a squeak if it is at its minimum size).

◊ Personality:
Nerau usually acts rather calm and collected. He knows what he can do and what not, has a talent to quickly plan things through without getting into unneccessary danger. He is like the little cheeky mouse that always finds an escape route. The demon avoids confrontation of both the verbal and the physical kind since he tends to lose those. His life standarts are extremly low, he only takes from his environment what he really needs, that being food, water, blankets for the night, etc.. Other than that Nerau is an egoistic looner and appears irritatingly bitter towards those who try to get closer to him. Any kind of emotion is usually bottled up until the point comes he collapses on them or let's them burst out at once in one big rage fit.
However, if people manage to get close enough to be called family, he is a rather loving brother. Nerau's species has a strong tendency to form small but strong families.

◊ History:
He hadn't always been living in the Ira-kingdom but Nerau cannot remember much of his time before he came here with his father and sister. Long story short: Said father got into a quarrel with the wrong people and one day failed to return from work, leaving the kids on their own from then on. The two did actually not even take all that long to adapt to their new lives and live happily together. This went well for a few decades before his sister got ill and nobody knew how to deal with the decease. Nerau's attempts to cure her all ended up futile and the demon girl died not short after. It was an event that changed Nerau's view on life completly, turning him into a bitter and pessimistic boy. From then on he had nothing left to lose except for his own life which he desperately fights for. Nowadays he moves around in the shadows of the desert kingdom Ira, careful to not face any threats and archieving the minimum amount of what he needs to continue his existance another day over and over again. What there is to live for from his point of view? Probably nothing. Or just himself.

> His kind is born from shadows and surpressed wrath - families of Arukannus are accidental encounterings of newborns with older representants of their species.
> He rarely stays at the same place during night as the night before, usually empty houses and ruins are common choices of temporal residence, rarely attics of other people's houses.
